In our fast moving impatient world, we are all looking for instant gratification, and dieting is no exception, we want to lose weight fast. On some diets each day is a struggle, and the thought of having to do it week in and week out becomes too much for us, and inevitably we fail.

How to Lose Weight Quickly

1. At each meal eat some protein. Good sources of lean protein include meat, fish, eggs, legumes, soya and tofu.

2. You will not lose weight quickly unless you cut out all refined carbs. White bread, cakes, biscuits and sweets are out. If you find yourself having sugar cravings mix a few drops of liquid glycerine with water and the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon. This will cure the sugar cravings without causing a spike in your blood sugar levels.

3. If you really have to drink alcohol stick to dry white wine. Do not have more than 2 glasses a day.

4. Make sure you manage at least 8 hours sleep every night.

5. If you can not stand the thought of attending a gym, start a walking program 5 days per week. Begin with a brisk 20-minute walk, and work your time up to 40 minutes over a few weeks.

6. Cut out all dairy products. It is no coincidence that baby calves fed on their mother's milk grow to be huge animals. We as human beings are not designed to drink the milk from another species.

7. Drink a glass of freshly squeezed green juice everyday. For this you will need a juicer or a juice bar in you area. The juice should be made from anything green, for example, spinach, cucumber, apple, celery, bok choy, asparagus, kiwi. Or alternatively drink a glass of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice before each meal.

8. Cut out all diet sodas and artificial sweeteners completely.

I can guarantee if you follow those simple steps starting tomorrow in two weeks time you will be 8 to 10lbs lighter. Oh Yes! The other important, but boring one! Drink plenty of water!
